ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION
BoomerWorks.org is a fiscally funded nonprofit program of United Charitable, inspiring professionals age 50+ to re-career into self-employment as freelancers or small business owners. We offer a range of educational and networking opportunities in the DC metropolitan area. We are an all-volunteer led organization.
The volunteer Program Manager is part of the BoomerWorks leadership team. Broad responsibilities include liaising with our fiscal agent, United Charitable and related organizations; engaging with volunteers and community partners; administering registration and logistics for regional Meetups, as well as providing customer support. It is anticipated that the administrative and project management support will require an average of 10 hours per week depending on the season. During a program kick off, a commitment of 15 hours may be required. This is a non-paid role.
This individual will be an independent, self-motivated, process-oriented person who enjoys communicating and working with an audience of professionals aged 50+; has excellent attention to detail and follow-through! Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, working diplomatically with internal and external stakeholders. Must also be proficient with Word, basic Excel and comfortable with learning multiple administrative and online meeting platforms.

BoomerWorks is a fiscally sponsored program of United Charitable, a registered 501(c)(3) public charity, EIN 20-4286082. All donations are tax-deductible as allowed by law. All funds raised by BoomerWorks are received by and become the sole property of United Charitable which, for internal operating purposes, allocates the funds to the program. The Program Manager makes recommendations for disbursements which are reviewed by United Charitable for approval.
